I'd say modding is the more likely scenario, though I thought PS4 was not easy to mod. The ease/difficulty of PS4 modding is crucial to your deduction. It's not TOO hard to crack into the game data from your computer then use a hex editor to cover up your tracks with a few bit changes from the computer to console. Just wanted to know if the ds3 cinders mod was available on PS4, or if it was just PC. A community dedicated to safely exploring game enhancing mods in Dark Souls. For that version simply unpack all the archives and drop my UXM version of the mod in the 'Game' folder in you Dark Souls 3 directory. Nothing has changed with my previous version which uses iGP11. Following his Bloodborne Cut Content demo, this weekend video game modder @manfightdragon returns via Twitter with a Dark Souls 3 Mod to Control Enemies & Play as Bosses on his YouTube Channel alongside a Steam patch with details below.

I hope you thought this was kind-of interesting. It's a very useful feature for content creators and just messing around a bit, although it's a shame about some of the technical limitations that come along with it.
Sorry there's no way for PS4 owners to share in this patch but I hope Steam owners have a bit of fun along the way, the download link is in the description if you missed it.
